About Abby
Hi, I'm Abby!
RN | BN | PGDipHealSc (Dist) | HSCP (OCN L6)
I'm a holistic sleep coach based in Dunedin, with a background in nursing.
Before sleep coaching, I worked as a nurse across wards, intensive care, palliative care, and the community. That mix really taught me to see the whole person and the context they live in: body, mind, whānau, and what matters to them, not just the problem in front of me.
Since becoming a mum, I've become obsessed with the science of infant sleep: the biology, the attachment, the developmental stuff. I trained in Lyndsey Hookway's Holistic Sleep Coaching Program, and I've poured my love of babies, children, and holistic care, as well as my whole heart and soul, into creating Whole Baby Sleep. And I've never felt more at home!
I'm in this for the mamas too. So many of us are doing this without the village that used to surround new parents. I can't replace your village, but I'd love to be part of it, helping you understand your pēpi and trust your instincts.
Why I do this
I've been the tired one too.
After my first baby was born, I developed an autoimmune condition that flares when I don't sleep. So when my second baby arrived and the nights fell apart, I needed help.
The sleep consultant I found promised warmth and responsiveness. The reality asked me to override every instinct I had, and I couldn't do it.
So I went looking for something better, and trained in it properly: an approach that works with a baby's biology, temperament and need for closeness, instead of against it. That's the work I do now.

Let's talk
You don't have to figure this out alone.
And you don't have to override your instincts to get more sleep.
